Say, the Enola Gay B-29 Superfortress of Hiroshima fame was built and modified in Nebraska. The Enola Gay had a troubled after-life with lots of controversey over the proper way to exhibit the retired aircraft.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough there's a Texas connection for a critical part that was operational on the old bomber during the Hiroshima attack.
That part was modified and put to good use at Texas A&M University.
